Aquanello Eterna Pop-Up Sink Stopper Matte Black ET1600-10

The Aquanello Eterna lockable pop-up sink stopper in matte black ET1600-10 is a stylish and practical drainage solution for the sink. Thanks to the integrated pop-up/click-clack mechanism, the drain can be easily opened and closed by pressing on the top of the stopper.

The sink plug is made of brass and features a special multi-layer surface finish. The metal surface first receives a durable chrome undercoat, followed by a matte black coating. This combination results in an exceptionally strong, wear-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant matte black finish.

Lockable pop-up sink stopper

The Aquanello Eterna ET1600-10 features a practical pop-up mechanism, also known as a click-clack.

The control is fully integrated into the stopper:

• Press once: close the drain
• Press again: open the drain

This eliminates the need for a separate sink stopper, chain, or external control lever.

Easily fill and drain the sink

When the plug is closed, water can be retained in the sink. This is convenient when the sink needs to be filled temporarily.

After use, the drain is easily reopened with a single press, allowing the water to drain away.

Solid brass base material

The ET1600-10 is manufactured using brass as the base material. This material is widely used in plumbing drain components due to its sturdy construction and suitability for daily use with water.

The brass base also provides a sturdy foundation for the multi-layer matte black surface finish.

Strong chrome-plated undercoat

Before the black finish is applied, the metal surface is coated with a strong chrome undercoat.

This chrome layer forms a hard, even, and durable base for the matte black coating. This allows the black topcoat to adhere strongly to the surface, creating a robust multi-layer finish.

Exceptionally strong matte black coating

A high-quality matte black coating is applied over the chrome undercoat.

The combination of the brass base, strong chrome undercoat, and matte black topcoat results in an exceptionally strong, wear-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant surface finish.

This is particularly important for a pop-up sink stopper, as the visible top is regularly pressed by hand to open and close the drain.

Advantages of the multi-layer finish

• Brass base material: solid construction for plumbing applications
• Chrome-plated undercoat: a hard and even base for the black coating
• Very high scratch resistance: suitable for daily use
• Very high wear resistance: robust surface structure
• Strong adhesion: the matte black coating adheres firmly to the prepared undercoat
• Matte finish: deep black color without strong glare

To maintain the matte black finish, we recommend cleaning visible areas with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive sponges and harsh, highly acidic, or alkaline cleaning agents.

Minimalist Eterna design

The ET1600-10’s design perfectly complements the minimalist character of the Aquanello Eterna series. The visible top of the plug features a sleek design and contains no separate controls.

The deep matte black finish pairs exceptionally well with materials such as ceramic, natural stone, travertine, marble, concrete-look finishes, and composite.

Pairs perfectly with matte black Eterna faucets

The sink plug can be paired with matte black Aquanello Eterna sink faucets and accessories to create a fully coordinated sink setup.

By finishing both the faucet and the visible drain components in the same matte black finish, a calm and modern look is achieved.

New generation black finish

Our new black finish combines a high-quality chrome-plated base layer with a durable black top layer. The result is an exceptionally durable and scratch-resistant finish, designed for heavy daily use in the bathroom.

Thanks to this special surface treatment, the faucet retains its beauty longer, and the black finish is highly resistant to wear and tear. At the same time, the matte black finish creates a modern, luxurious look that fits perfectly in both minimalist and contemporary bathrooms.

Key benefits:

✅ Daily Wipe-Down: Wipe with a soft damp cloth after each use and dry thoroughly. Water spots show easily on brass.

✅ Weekly Cleaning: Clean with mild dish soap and warm water using a soft cloth. The natural antibacterial properties help, but regular cleaning keeps the golden finish bright.

✅ Limescale Removal: Use a soft cloth with a citric acid based cleaner. Rinse and dry immediately.

✅ Preserve the Shine: Apply a thin layer of wax (car wax or furniture wax) occasionally to protect the finish and slow natural patina.

❗ Harsh Chemicals: Don't use bleach, ammonia, chlorine, or aggressive descalers. They damage the brass surface.

❗ Abrasive Materials: Avoid scouring pads, steel wool, and abrasive cleaners. They scratch the golden finish.

❗ Prolonged Moisture: Don't let water pool around the base of the tap. Standing moisture accelerates tarnishing.

❗ Acidic Substances: Don't let vinegar, lemon juice, or acidic cleaners sit on the surface. Apply, wipe, rinse quickly.

From elegant sink faucets, tall sink mixers for countertop basins, and built-in sink faucets to hand-wash basin faucets, luxury bathtub faucets, and freestanding bathtub mixers. Eterna also offers countless options for the shower, including thermostatic built-in shower sets, surface-mounted shower faucets, rain showers with hand showers, and complete shower columns.

The various shower faucets and rain showers are available with a range of control options, such as thermostatic mixers, separate shut-off valves, and integrated diverter valves. Thanks to the uniform design, all components can be harmoniously combined.

High-quality stainless steel with exclusive PVD finishes

Aquanello Eterna stands out through its use of high-quality stainless steel as the base material for the visible metal faucet components. The collection is available in four stylish finishes: brushed stainless steel, brushed gold PVD, brushed copper PVD, and matte black.

The gold and copper faucets feature a high-quality PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) treatment. This technology ensures an exceptionally strong, wear-resistant, and durable surface finish. As a result, the warm gold color and elegant copper hue retain their luxurious appearance for a long time under normal use.

The matte black bathroom faucets have also been developed with a special focus on durability. These models feature a chrome-plated base layer beneath the black coating, ensuring strong adhesion and enhanced scratch resistance. As a result, the matte black Eterna collection combines a modern look with a robust finish designed for everyday use.

Thermostatic shower faucets and reliable built-in technology

In addition to design, technical quality is also a key feature of the Aquanello Eterna series. The thermostatic shower faucets ensure a comfortable and stable water temperature, while the practical control systems allow for precise adjustment of the various shower functions.

The in-wall components are equipped with integrated non-return valves, which help prevent unwanted backflow of water. This technical feature supports a safe and professional installation and complies with backflow prevention requirements applicable to European and British plumbing systems.

Thanks to its modular design and the separately available built-in components, trim pieces, and accessories, Aquanello Eterna offers extensive possibilities for both new bathrooms and renovation projects.
